Q. How does Broadcast A Resume VideoPro
work?
A. VideoPro is a Windows
based application that can be launched from the Desktop, shortcut
toolbar and Programs Menu. When VideoPro video email is opened,
the user will notice two (2) tabs, “Create a New Video”
and “View Video Archive.” From the Create a New Video
tab, the user can title, record, playback, re-record their videos
and when satisfied with the video can click the Save and Upload
button to upload the video to the PatriotNet server. You will then
copy the hyperlink to the streaming video into the Windows Clipboard,
ready to be added to any electronic document. You are then free
to send out the email or electronic document to any recipient. An
archive of videos that have been created can be accessed in the
“View Video Archive” tab, which allows the user to review,
resend or delete old videos. The user has the option to save a local
copy of the video during upload or to delete the local copy after
the upload process has been completed. When the recipient receives
the email or opens the electronic document, they will be able to
simply click on the hyperlink and this will automatically open a
web page to view the streaming video message.
Q. Why do you charge a monthly fee
for hosting the VideoPro video emails?
A. VideoPro messages
are saved and uploaded onto servers, which are hosted by our hosting
company PatriotNet. The hyperlink inserted in your email message,
when clicked on from your recipient reaches back to the PatriotNet
server that is then streamed to them. This compression means no
large attachments are sent to your recipients. Recipients can view
the message as often as they like as long as the message remains
on the PatriotNet server. It is a PatriotNet policy to delete
all messages after 30 calendar days, so if you want to
save one your greatest creation you may choose to do so on your
own PC in your Video Archive tab.
Q. What if I want to save my video
email messages?
A. You can save copies
of your messages in your Video Archive tab, which allows the user
to review, resend or delete old videos. The hyperlink you inserted
in your email message, when clicked on from your recipient reaches
back to the PatriotNet server and is streamed to them. They can
view the message as often as they like as long as the message remains
on the PatriotNet server.
Q. What is the recommended bandwidth
for using VideoPro?
A. VideoPro is designed
for full-motion video and audio streaming for a broadband connection.
This means your recipient should have a DSL or Cable Modem Internet
connection, with a throughput of 256kbps download speed; however,
there are not any software limitations with using a dial-up connection.
If using a dial-up connection to send, the client will notice a
longer file upload period. If the recipient uses dial-up to receive
video emails they will notice a reduction in the quality of the
steaming video
